Call to Share Development Solutions

Background.

The Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network (CYPAN) in conjunction with Commonwealth secretariat with support from the United Nation office for South South Cooperation (UNOSSC) is conducting a mapping of low cost innovative and scalable youth solution /initiatives.  The mapping is intended at giving specific consideration to youth led driven programs aimed at empowering and supporting youth participations and contribution to the global development cooperation and achievement of SDGs.

The project also aims at developing the capacities of youth leaders and young people so that they can learn and share knowledge on scalable solution within the global south with the main objectives of bringing to global table the tangible contribution of young people in bringing sustainable development to their own communities.

It’s against this background that CYPAN seek to identify the 10 best homegrown youth led driven solutions/initiatives within the premise of SDGs aimed at empowering youth participations in both economic, social and political arena for scalability, sharing and learning.

Opportunities

The 10best homegrown selected solution will be given opportunities to;

  • Share your ideas to solution seekers and other stakeholders of development cooperation at the global level;
  • Potentially scale up and replicate your solutions in other Southern countries with similar context that demand to solve similar development challenges.
  • Win a fully funded trip to participate and attend a conference on South-South in Action series within the Commonwealth countries to be hold in London, UK in June 2018.
  • And lastly to profile your solution in to a South-South in Action publication to be shared among UN agencies and the Commonwealth member states.
